When titles were introduced I decided sin would be the toughest to get stuff on, so I stuck with that. He still isn't a GWAMM but pretty close. I take breaks from the game for 6-9 months at a time, and I like to PvP mostly. Just need to finish the EOTN titles at some point as well as finish up sweet tooth + party title and that will do it.

EDIT: reminds me how tough some things were before nightfall/heroes. Also legendary survivor was a pain in the ass because you only had quests from two campaigns, and I think the only repeatable available was in sorrow's furnace, but that wasn't necessary. Just had to pretty much finish all quests/missions in both games(again, some parts were a nightmare with just henchmen) and that would get you the 1.3mil exp.

6.5 hours a day really isn't that inconceivable. For those that work. 7-3 or 8-4 ish. you get home and if you don't have kids then you can pretty much do whatever you want. Granted 6 hours would mean you'd play from 5-11 at night. Thats alot of time on guildwars. Yes. You can also shave a few hours here and there and play a tad bit more on weekends.

The "life" argument isn't really relevant to those that are hardcore gamers. They enjoy games so thats what they devote their free time too. Me personally I can log onto GW for 5 hours, and still go out and socialize. Mostly because college doesn't force you to actually be at school for 8 or 9 hours, like high school or work. But i mean its still their choice. For people that don't have kids, or are single or even married, you work you come home, you relax, maybe play some video games, eat dinner, repeat. I mean people over 30 who work, pretty much just go to work and go home. Its not like their 25 and are at the bar every night. (thats expensive btw). They have nothing but free time.

As for vanquishing. Only some of the bigger places in Nightfall and Prophecies should you push over an hour on vanquishing. I mean with pve skills and heroes, 2 people can CRANK out some vanquishes. I'm pretty sure i averaged 25-30 minutes a zone for the entirety of cantha. And thats not even with serious builds and playing full on. That was c-space, up heroes killed shit, c-space.

At one point i literally fell asleep while vanquishing nub island, woke up and still finished it under an hour.

Plus you have to remember that cartography, skill hunter and vanquishing all go hand in hand. That 4+4+4=12 titles right there. 121 zones at 15 days is... 8 a day. Thats 4-5 hours. And your halfway done. That leaves 15 days for Guardian (7) + SS/LB (2) + Consumables (3) + Survivor (1).

Soo 2 days for Survivor + Consumables. That leaves 13 days for Guardian + SS/LB. 58 missions in 10 days is about 6 a day. So thats 3-6 hours a day. Plus the grind for SS/LB in 3 days.

Thats alot of playing. But you could knock it down to about....2.5 - 3 weeks if you REALLY REALLY grinded. 1.5-2 weeks for Vanquishing and 1-1.5 weeks for everything else. Could be done. Wouldnt want to but could be.

I'm 37, married 7 years and have a 3 year-old son, but I still managed to finish GWAMM in about 10 months total grind time (total 32 months playing). Granted, this was with numerous 6 to 8 hour weekend days that went something like this: wake up at 7a and play until 9a (2 hrs), play while kid takes a nap from 2-4p (2 hours), play while kid is eating dinner (30 min), play after kid goes to sleep 7-10:30p'ish (3.5 hours), for a total of 8 hours. As you can see that basically takes up all of my free time, meaning the time in which my son is not otherwise occupied sleeping/eating, and also as you can see there is not much time for anything else family or socially speaking. This is very unhealthy for personal and interpersonal reasons, which is why I basically quit playing after getting GWAMM. Problem is that attempting GWAMM is a slippery slope if you are a goal-oriented (however counter-productive that goal may be ) person, or a perfectionist, because once you get past 15 titles or so there is a compulsion to finish regardless of the costs (psychic, economic, etc.). I nearly lost my marriage and my job, but I don't fault a-net, I fault the asshole who got me into the game, lol. But at the end of the day, it was entirely up to me whether or not I should stop playing.

Regarding a 3-week GWAMM possibility, I call bullshit on that. There are only 504 hours in a 3-week period! Assuming you made some bathtub crank and went on a three week binge of sleeplessness (gogo cross-country trucker), and didn't eat or go to the bathroom, or phone your mum once in a while, or have a job, or bathe, or stop to pick your nose you would only have 504 hours to drink 10,000 minutes (there are only 30,240 minutes in a three week period!), consume 20,000 party/sweets (and make the money to buy them, for christs sake!), obtain 1.2M faction (unless you spent the first 5 hours attaining survivor in the gimicky stylie), vanq 130+ areas (which bullshit we all know on average take 45+ min, unless you'd like to show me how you h/h'ed talus chute in less than an hour), skill hunt 140+ elites (with proph bullshit boss spawns causing rezoning 4-5 times in the shiverpeaks especially), do every mission in all campains 2x (NM/HM), do all dungeons 2x (NM/HM), SS/LB (even in wurms on a 2x w/e takes the better part of the weekend), and map 100% in all 4 continents (eotn mapping for r6 adventurer), oh yeah and max 4 rep titles (even though deldrimor is done by the time you finish dungeons)!

Yeah, I thought not.

My GWAMM is also an ele.

Pretty surprising results here, as Eles and Dervishes get mentioned most in this thread as GWAMM's

Not many Sins around, and the amount of monks is also surprisingly low

My GWAMM is my Monk, because I was getting drunk during GvG and HA (with effects on) and didn't want to waste the drunkard points. Pretty sure the alcohol helps you catch spikes.

Here is where your math fails.
There are more than a few areas that require more than an hour to vanquish. And in those small areas that you can vanquish in 30 minutes with wall hugging for cartographer that's extra time. Plus you have to choose: either PVE skills for a faster vanquish, either 2 or 3 Signets of capture for Skill hunter. So 8 zones a day is not 4-5 hours.

This was pretty much the point of this thread and thanks Scorp and Ard for finding extra info. Basically i was going for that there are certain classes who are easier, or just more often used than others, for obtaining parties and titles. This info goes well with another of my posts on whether certain classes could use a buff because they just arent used that much for whatever reason.

So people, stay on topic here and just talk about your gwamm or soon to be gwamm and not about how long it takes or who doesnt have a life. please.

Got to around eleven titles on my Ritualist and then abruptly decided I'd like to play Monk. So I've been playing Monk for the past couple weeks.

Its actually a lot easier for late comers as they only have one extra "easy" title available. Characters that have been around from the start are unable to get the survivor so they need to complete 2 of the "hard" titles (drunkard, treasure hunter, wisdom, Faction Rep, lucky, unlucky etc) instead of just one.

For those poo-pooing those with multiple gwamms, you'll notice that most of the "hard" titles are account wide so it means you only have to do the 28 easy titles again - you can even skip one of the rep grinds or lmotn if you are using a post factions toon.

hm....not really working towards it really since I dont vanquish and never pvp (leaves out a few titles there)...but my monk has 18 titles and is working on 6 others....ele with 14 finishing one more in the next month or so.....others with 4-8 and everyone has at least one (protector of cantha).....I guess I am going for quantity of characters with titles rather than one character with all of them ....lol.

My first GWAMM was my monk. Simply because I played her the most even though she was my third character. Second GWAMM was ele. I'm currently working (rather slowly) on GWAMM#3 with my necro which is at 18 max.

Necro is by far the easiest one so far. Beside 5 acc-wide titles, she is a survivor and has had the benefit of imba pve skills from start. Monk and ele didn't, so vanquishing with them was way harder compared to necro.

My first GWAMM was my ranger, as it was my first character so naturally I got titles on him first, then just decided to run with it.
Second was my warrior, because warriors are awesome.
Third was Ele, fourth was monk, and fifth and final is an assassin.

My ele is my title char, up to 15 titles but have several more that aren't far off being finished. I can't say for certain if i will attain GWAMM, i may just stop at 20 or 25 as a lot of the other titles require a decent amount of gold. Used to farm a hell of a lot back in the day and got seriously burned out over it, find it hard to do any farming now, i manage a few runs but then i get bored.

I can say this though if i stop at 20, 25 or manage to attain GWAMM theres no chance i will be doing it again on another char. Might start some new chars and just play through the game casually with friends.
